Koh Samed

Koh Samed, located in the gulf of thailand, approx 2 to 3 hours away from bangkok. From Bangkok,
you have to transfer to Baan Phe pier in Rayong and then take the ferry ride to reach Koh Samed.

It takes about 30 minutes to get Koh Samed from the Baan Phe pier. Koh Samed has 5 piers such as Ao Klang, Ao Phrao, Ao Wong Duen, Ao Thian and Ao Wai. Ao Klang Pier is the port to mainland while the rest piers are used for diving and excursions.

Medical and Health Care
One hospital near Sai Kaew beach is available for normal treatments. Plenty of clinics and pharmacies are available in the main areas. If there is something serious it’s better rush to have treatment in Bangkok.

Koh Samed Beaches
Koh Samed Island, with its popular nearby beach Sai Kaew Beach, the longest beach on Koh Samed. Most of Ko Samed's beaches lie along the eastern shore of the island.

Haad Sai Kaew, One of the most beautiful and largest beach on Koh Samed, Haad Sai Kaew is 1 kilometer long and 25 – 30 meters wide. which literally means Crystal Sand Beach, is a nice beach filled with activities. From dusk to dawn, it is the place for sunbathing, swimming, jet skiing, windsurfing, riding on a banana boat or even partying at night.

Ao Wong Deuan is the second largest beach on the island. Ao Wong Deuan attracts many tourists during both high and low seasons due to its beach, good accommodation, and seafood restaurants with nice views.

Ao Phrao is one of the quietest beaches of Koh Samed. Located quite far away from the nightlife and is preferred by travelers who quietly enjoy the sea, swimming and sand.

Ao Phai is a small bay, offers a quiet natural retreat, drawing repeated visitors for relaxing. It is Suitable for those who do not like crowded beaches and nightlife activities.

Ao Wai, Shaded by coconut trees, quiet and scenic beach, is located within a short walking distance of Candlelight Beach.

Ao Noi Na, which is located near Haad Sai Kaew, which is quieter and suitable for those looking to relax on the white sandy beach.

Ao Hin Krong, which is close to Haad Sai Kaew, is quite crowded suitable for sunbathing, Windsurfing, and enjoying crystal clear water.

Ao Phutsa, set in a peaceful atmosphere, well known for its white sand and clear water, has a small cozy resort, which provides nice services in a well decorated compound.

Ao Nuan, near Ao Phutsa, is a small quiet bay with nine bungalows.

Ao Kiu Nok caters for those tired of busy, crowded beaches and nightlife. From there, visitors can actually walk to Aow Kiew Nai which is the ideal spot on the island to see the sun rise and sun set.

Ao Karang is the best place on the island to experience the traditional lifestyle of the residents of Koh Samed where a number of seafood restaurants providing seafood dishes exist.
